Traditional Karate Do Principles

Traditional training is typically undertaken in native Japanese for most techniques, however instruction is provided in English also.

The cost of tuition is linked to the lease of the premises, and the training equipment. The organisation is a not for profit association and the personal tuition time is donated by each of our traditional Sensei's for free to all students ( Denshi ).

The dojo training is the beginning of formal instruction for students and requires a commitment to proper etiquette and manners in order to ensure a learning orientated environment and maximum discipline in the dojo. ( Reishiki )

Our Dojo Kun reads from right to left viewing this page, this is the  time honoured Oath of our traditional School / Ryu.

Our traditional school of Instruction (Ryu) welcomes new students seeking to further refine their character, health, well-being and spirituality through onerous traditional disciplined training. Students - Denshi must be over 12 years old and in good general health. Our school has a selective intake on a periodic basis at the invitation of the Sensei and training is typically limited to small groups of dedicated Karate Ka to ensure a high standard of study and disciplined skill is attained.

To benefit from these budo principals one must acquire a calm and reflective mind and a pure spirit.
